Abstract Color Mix Workshop
This workshop will be offered (space permitting) the following dates: Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2–4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 10??Noon Thursday, Feb. 5, 2–4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2–4 p.m. Take away your stress with color mixing! There is something wonderful about watching colors come to life before your eyes. It can be a controlled process or a loose wild experience.This workshop is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Contours & Chaos (https://calendar.tamu.edu/university-arts/event/373988-contours-and-chaos-studies-in-form-color-and), on display Jan. 14–March 8, 2026, in the J. First Friday Downtown Bryan Shuttle
The Downtown Bryan First Friday shuttle runs the first Friday of each month. The shuttle will depart from Old Main Dr. starting at 6:00PM, and run every 30 minutes. The final shuttle back to campus will depart from Downtown at 9:30PM.

"An Artist Among the Indians": The Life and Work of Joseph Henry Sharp

Sharp had to overcome many hurdles in his life, as the son of a small-town grocer and handicapped with deafness after a childhood accident, his future was limited. Despite all odds, Sharp became a successful artist and a professor at a prestigious art academy. He found himself drawn again and again to the image of the Native American Indian. A pivotal career choice would change the course of his life and that of other artists throughout America.
