From the Ashes: Cultural Survival and National Identity in the Age of Conflict

    Panelists will address the historic establishment of international alliances in the 20th century, examining how these frameworks have evolved; contemporary examples of threats to culture and 21st century responses; and strategies for integrating cultural preservation into future peacekeeping efforts.  This symposium will be followed by an art exhibit of works developed during the Bosnian war and on display in the MSC Reynolds Student Art Gallery during the spring semester. This event will include a plethora of panelists including keynote speaker, Will Hurd, Member, International Leadership Council, Center for European Policy Analysis; US Representative (TX-23), US House of Representatives (2015-2021).
