- Mar 48:00 AMGetting Things DoneThis course introduces the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology, a proven approach to productivity that helps individuals work with greater clarity, focus, and intention. Grounded in decades of practice and supported by research, GTD offers practical strategies for reducing cognitive overload, managing commitments, and engaging more effectively with daily responsibilities. Participants will explore what it means to operate in a "productive state" and learn skills to strengthen an existing productivity system or build a personalized system from the ground up. Emphasis is placed not only on getting work done, but on doing so with presence, purpose, and sustainability. By applying these principles, learners can improve performance, reduce stress and burnout, and create habits that support meaningful, focused work over time.Register via TrainTraq by March 3rd. If the registration deadline has passed or the date for this section does not work for you, visit the Course Details (https://traintraq.tamus.edu/CourseDetails.aspx?cnum=2114689) page and select the Upcoming Sections tab to view additional options. - Mar 58:30 AMFaculty Conversation Café (Zoom)This month's discussion topic is Our Digital Learning Environment & Student Affordability led by Michael Johnson, Justin Dellinger, Kelley Shaffer, and Catharina Laporte What if the tools you and your students need are already here…and free? Join us for a conversation about the current state of our digital educational environment and how it impacts your teaching. Did you know there are 28+ university-supported tools already integrated into Canvas at no cost to students? We'll discuss how to leverage these resources and amplify faculty voice in decisions about educational technology such as (but not limited to) third-party tools, digital textbooks, and homework systems. This effort complements (not replaces) Open Educational Resource (OER) initiatives. Bring your questions, share your experiences, and help shape how we support both effective teaching and student affordability. Whether you're tech-savvy or just tech-curious, your perspective matters.
